noticed your lid isn't closing all the way. you can put a very small shim where the hinges close on each other and close the lid all the way. This will most likely fix the problem. Or you could install a Magnet catch. Beautiful box though. you made it look simple.
btw, just so you know a different term used, the walnut "striping" is more commonly called walnut inlay
