Burning WOOD-turnings great studio/wood shop..I really love your channel!
I tried to do this to my ash axe handle... not sure why, made it look dirty, bad idea
what oil is that?
Would burning the wood while it's spinning result in a more even scorch?
Loved the video, and I know you didn't have to tell us how dangerous it was, but im glad you did. I know guys who see sawdust and wanna grab a lighters. But for real though, upgrade your coffee pot. Imma send you a new one.
Great technique Sam.  I'm amazed at how much knowledge you share with us.  I went out and bought a torch just haven't used it yet.  It's on the list.
Some great ideas Sam.  Must go purchase a fire extinguisher before I start!!

Terrific video, Sam! I've occasionally thought about doing some decorating with fire, but never carried through. This video really helps. I hope you'll do another video to show the finished bowl.

I watched Nick Cook demo burning on an ash platter. I like scorching the outside of an ash bowl and then using liming wax to highlight the growth rings.
